Optical amplifier solutions are provided for all stages of the transmission path utilising highly reliable EDFA and RAMAN amplifier technology.

The OBA series of booster amplifiers provide a compact solution to deliver high output power with remote management capabilities using SNMP, Telnet and Web Server which can be integrated into a number of management system via SNMP.

The OPA series of EDFA pre-amplifiers provide a compact solution to deliver high sensitivity optical amplification with remote management capabilities using SNMP, Telnet and Web Server which can be integrated into a number of management system via SNMP.

The RFA series of pre-amplifiers uses RAMAN pump technology and provides optical gain of up to 20dB. The raman amplifier is a reverse pump and pumps optical power back down the fibre link and amplifies the optical signal as it travels along the fibre. The deployed fibre link is used by the raman amplifier as the amplifying medium.

FEC units are OEO (optical to electrical to optical) modules that uses forward error correction encoding and decoding technology to provide up to 6dB coding gain to extend the reach of an SDH transmission links.

DCM units are Dispersion Compensation Modules used to counteract the effects of chromatic dispersion as high speed optical signals traverse along fibre links.
